Hand Injuries that sucks T_T

Due to Carpal Tunnel injuries in both hands, I will not be able to update here as frequently. I will still update, but not as often. I’m going to take a short hiatus until my hands aren’t bothering me as much. However, I’ll still be at the RAW: Brooklyn Presents SCOPE in September show, so be sure to buy your tickets here! Cheers!

My process of digital painting as I am practicing the medium.

Loish (http://blog.loish.net/)  was actually my biggest influence on this piece today. Because of her fluidity of her linework and crazy color schemes, I was inspired to draw this. :)

But from this practice piece, since google informed me that there’s a Perseid meteor shower coming—I figured to do something as a starry night. I enjoyed painting this piece and I hope you guys enjoy the piece as well. =)

Drawn and colored in photoshop.

I was listening to Noah Bradley on environmental painting and I just wanted to paint a forest. Listening and watching his process as he paints these amazing environments is great because I pick up alot of his advice through his videos.
Here’s part one of his video on environmental painting:

All in all, before I even think of coloring or finishing a background, I think I will do a set of grayscale environment paintings just to get some practice and understanding in. :)
Cheers!

Im feeling better to the point that I can color something. (I inked this one before I got sick) So I might tackle this tonight just to feel a bit productive.
*Note— Ive been sick for almost a whole week. Now, Im recovering and want to paint or draw something. =)
